Job Description

As a Veterinary Doctor, you will be responsible for administering vaccinations, conducting routine check-ups, treating injuries and illnesses, and advising pet owners on health management. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses in pets and farm animals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for specialized care.
• Lead outreach programs to promote responsible pet ownership.
• Participate in community health initiatives and education.
• Maintain a high standard of ethics and empathy in all pet interactions.
• Report on cases and collaborate on team initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in veterinary practice

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
• CPR and First Aid Certified for pets

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with exotic animals: Experience in handling and treating exotic pets and wildlife.
• Fluency in another language: Ability to converse fluently in another language besides English is advantageous.
