Job Description

The Machine Feeder and Offbearer is crucial for the daily operations of our hog farm. Responsibilities include feeding and caring for the hogs, maintaining hygiene in the pens, and ensuring the overall health and productivity of the animals.

Responsibilities

• Regularly check food and water levels, ensuring optimal conditions for hogs.
• Perform routine cleaning of the farming equipment used for feeding and watering.
• Conduct daily health checks on the hogs, providing early detection of potential issues.
• Assist in the documentation of hog care and performance metrics.
• Participate in training sessions on best practices in animal husbandry.
• Collaborate with other farm workers to streamline daily operations.
• Help with the onboarding of new team members.
• Engage in physical farm maintenance, including equipment checks.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Further qualifications in agriculture or animal husbandry preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience working with livestock, particularly hogs.

Languages
