Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Process Chemist to join our dedicated team in Richards Bay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing chemical processes. Your expertise will enhance production efficiency while ensuring safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Work on improving process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Review and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Train staff on process technologies and safety procedures.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of experiments.
  • Support scale-up efforts from pilot to commercial production.
  • Interact with clients to understand their process needs and provide technical support.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Postgraduate qualification is a plus

  • 3+ years of chemical engineering or process development experience
