Responsibilities

• Engage listeners with entertaining and informative on-air content.
• Create playlists and ensure the timely playing of music during broadcasts.
• Attend community events and functions to represent the station and connect with listeners.
• Conduct audience polling for content feedback and preferences.
• Assist in the development of promotional strategies to enhance listenership.
• Support training and mentoring of junior announcers and interns.
• Maintain an organized library of music and broadcasting materials.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to enhance show ideas and concepts.
• Ensure compliance with copyright laws and station policies during broadcasts.
• Promote a culture of creativity and fun within the workplace.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant experience in hospitality or broadcasting can substitute for formal qualifications

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in radio or customer-facing roles
