Job Description

As a Legal Counsel in our Johannesburg firm, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal services. You will work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored legal solutions, while also advising the firm on compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters affecting the firm and its clients.
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve legal issues effectively.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep abreast of industry best practices.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management regarding legal risks and compliance.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance staff understanding of legal principles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree
• Master's in Law is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in a legal capacity, with emphasis on corporate or commercial law.
