General Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified General Practitioner to join our Centurion practice. In this role, you will provide excellent healthcare services, diagnose and treat patients, and work collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Identify and diagnose new or chronic conditions.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Provide mental health support and counseling.
• Conduct health screenings and immunizations.
• Lead health promotion and disease prevention programs.
• Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system.
• Engage in peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Foster a patient-centered care environment.
• Ensure ethical standards and patient confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate diploma in Primary Care or Family Medicine preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of recent clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Emergency care
• Preventive medicine

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Organizational skills

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Family Medicine certification (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
