Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Food Safety Auditor to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards, along with a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for conducting audits, ensuring compliance, and providing recommendations to improve safety practices within the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits of production processes and facilities, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Document audit findings and prepare actionable reports for management.
• Evaluate existing food safety policies and recommend enhancements.
• Provide support during regulatory inspections by external bodies.
• Engage with staff to promote a culture of food safety awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or relevant field
• Additional certifications in food safety practices are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in food safety or quality assurance

Technical Skills

• Risk assessment skills
• Knowledge of HACCP practices

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• HACCP Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
