Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner (GP) to provide essential medical services in Port Elizabeth. Your role will include diagnosing and treating patient illnesses, conducting health assessments, and providing preventative care. A strong focus on patient education and building trust within the community is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and treatment solutions tailored to each patient.
• Develop health promotion strategies and offer preventative care services.
• Implement disease management protocols for chronic conditions.
• Timely review and update treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Involve patients and families in the decision-making process of care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and adjust as necessary.
• Mentor and educate junior staff and students as needed.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional specialization in family medicine or emergency medicine is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience in general practice

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
