Rehabilitation Counselor

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Rehabilitation Counselor who is dedicated to helping clients overcome personal obstacles and achieve their rehabilitation goals. In this role, you'll work directly with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored guidance throughout their recovery.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans in conjunction with clients.
• Provide advocacy and support for clients navigating healthcare systems.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation strategies and make adjustments.
• Conduct follow-up assessments to measure client success and areas for improvement.
• Facilitate clear communication between clients and treatment teams.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance counseling skills and methodologies.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote rehabilitation services.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
• Degree in Counseling or Psychology is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably in healthcare or social services

Technical Skills

• Understanding of financial planning tools

• Interpersonal Skills
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Additional certifications in Rehabilitation or Social Work

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of investment products and services: Understanding investment options can aid in client discussions.
• Experience in client relationship management: Previous experience in managing client relationships is a plus.
