Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and assist in drafting and reviewing contracts. You will be responsible for advising on legal rights and obligations, managing legal risks, and representing our organization in legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assess legal risks and implement strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Draft and negotiate terms of business agreements.
  • Advise on employment law matters and organizational policies.
  • Represent the organization in dispute resolution and litigation.
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance practices.
  • Review and update internal policies to ensure compliance.
  • Support the organization's compliance initiatives and audits.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and clients to align legal objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external legal partners.
  • Keep abreast of developments in corporate and commercial law.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Master’s degree or further qualifications are an advantage
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a legal environment
