Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you'll leverage your strong statistical and mathematical skills to assess and manage risk, contributing to impactful insurance solutions. You will work closely with our underwriting and finance teams to support data-driven decision-making and develop models that evaluate potential future events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and financial modeling.
• Analyze large datasets to derive insights and predict trends.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing and underwriting.
• Support financial reporting through evaluation of insurance obligations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide quantitative support.
• Assess the financial implications of product development efforts.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management regarding risk assessment.
• Stay current with industry developments and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or Statistics
• Fellowship is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in an actuarial role or related field
