Responsibilities

• Examine patients and interpret diagnostic tests to determine health status.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and follow-up schedules.
• Engage patients in discussions about their health and treatment options.
• Guide patients through their healthcare journey by providing support and information.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Enhance patient care through involvement in health promotion activities.
• Participate in team meetings to assess and improve practice operations.
• Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior medical staff.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Diploma in Family Medicine is an added advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a primary care setting.

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic reasoning skills
• Knowledge of pharmacology

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Conflict resolution

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Emergency Medicine Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Experience in emergency medicine: Hands-on experience in treating urgent health issues.
• Familiarity with telemedicine: Experience in providing healthcare services remotely.
