Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will be integral to our steel production process. You will monitor and regulate the Bessemer process, ensuring optimal production output and quality. Your role involves controlling furnace temperatures, managing material flow, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Regulate the flow of materials and control furnace temperatures to ensure quality.
• Perform regular equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Document all production processes and quality control measures.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to resolve production issues.
• Train new operators on proper furnace operations and safety protocols.
• Manage the operation of multiple furnaces simultaneously when required.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Technical Degree in Metallurgy or Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry is preferred.
