Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for project budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction project timeline and schedule, ensuring timely completions.
• Manage workforce, ensuring adequate staffing levels and performance standards.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss project milestones and address concerns.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions with the project team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Construction Management is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry

• Site Management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Proficient in project management software: Experience using software like MS Project or Primavera for scheduling.
