Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Nelspruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively with both animals and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals for signs of illness or injury.
  • Implement and oversee health care programs.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for animals in care.
  • Conduct routine vaccinations and preventive medicine protocols.
  • Establish strong relationships with pet owners to promote health care.
  • Document patient interactions and treatments accurately.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs.
  • Review and maintain pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Assist in training and evaluating new staff members.

Requirements

Education
  • DVM or equivalent
  • Specialization in a veterinary field is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on veterinary work
