Our Johannesburg office is on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer passionate about turning innovative designs into reality. This role focuses on utilizing your technical skills to analyze and develop mechanical systems. You will engage in the complete engineering process, from concept through to production, while maximizing performance, quality, and efficiency in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis and testing of mechanical systems for performance and reliability.
• Develop project scopes and budgets in collaboration with project teams.
• Facilitate project meetings to communicate progress and address engineering challenges.
• Stay updated with technological advancements in mechanical engineering and apply best practices.
• Ensure quality assurance processes are adhered to during the development cycle.
• Collaborate with the production team to streamline the manufacturing process of mechanical components.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• MBA or other relevant qualifications preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical system design and analysis

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with project management tools: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project for managing engineering timelines.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing: Experience in developing and evaluating prototypes for practical applications.
