Job Description

As a Diversity and Inclusion Officer, you'll be responsible for fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect. You will work closely with various teams to create and promote diversity initiatives that align with our company's values. If you have experience in HR and a strong commitment to equality, we want you to be a part of our team in Durban.

Responsibilities

• Lead diversity assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Create educational resources on inclusivity practices.
• Promote awareness through company-wide initiatives and events.
• Support employee resource groups (ERGs) and affiliations.
• Influence and advise on strategic diversity initiatives.
• Evaluate and refine the company’s recruitment process for inclusivity.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure diversity in talent acquisition.
• Stay updated on best practices in diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Psychology
• Master's degree in Industrial Psychology is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in Diversity and Inclusion or HR roles

Certifications

• Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
• Diversity Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Previous experience in consulting on diversity initiatives: Experience working with different organizations on D&I projects.
• Data-driven initiatives implementation experience: Experience utilizing data to inform D&I initiatives.
