Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Counsel to manage our legal compliance framework in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in regulatory affairs, risk management, and corporate governance. You will play a crucial role in advising on legal compliance matters and supporting the development of our compliance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance audits and assessments.
  • Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments and regulatory agencies.
  • Advise the organization on risk mitigation strategies related to compliance.
  • Support the legal team in drafting compliance-related documentation.
  • Participate in the development of compliance training programs.
  • Assist in the resolution of compliance-related issues and investigations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or Business Administration
  • Master's degree or equivalent is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of in-house legal or compliance experience in a corporate environment
