Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our organization adheres to all regulatory standards and practices. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, as well as providing guidance on regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal compliance initiatives and assessments.
• Assist in developing corporate governance frameworks.
• Engage in continuous improvement of compliance programs.
• Mitigate potential compliance breaches before they occur.
• Document compliance activities thoroughly.
• Participate in risk management meetings and reporting.
• Facilitate communication between compliance and other business units.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Professional compliance certification is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in compliance roles

Certifications

• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Compliance Auditing: Hands-on experience in conducting compliance audits within organizations.
• Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations: Knowledge of AML requirements and practices.
