Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to be part of our esteemed healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, responding to inquiries, maintaining patient records, and supporting healthcare providers with administrative tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Answer queries and provide comprehensive service to patients.
  • Organize and schedule appointments based on provider availability.
  • Maintain a clean and functional front desk workspace.
  • Document patient interactions and any relevant details.
  • Coordinate with finance for payment collection and processing.
  • Ensure that all patient communications are handled with confidentiality.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff.
  • Report any issues or patient feedback to the Office Manager.
  • Prepare daily reports on patient visits and activities.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma
  • Qualification in Medical Administration or Reception highly preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare reception role
Technical Skills
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiency

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous
