Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our Pretoria team. In this role, you will manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills and familiarity with payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal use and management review.
  • Assist in reconciling payroll accounts and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee data changes affecting payroll.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Utilize payroll software to streamline processes and maintain accuracy.
  • Support implementation of payroll software updates and changes.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in a payroll environment is strongly preferred

Advantageous
