We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems. This role involves direct interaction with users, requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all users needing support.
• Regularly check and maintain IT equipment to prevent failures.
• Provide technical training to staff as required.
• Manage servers and network security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and practices.
• Coordinate with IT Manager to schedule system maintenance.
• Prepare reports on IT performance and incidents.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Certifications in ITIL or similar frameworks
• Higher education in IT is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Virtualization

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
