Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Counsel with extensive experience in commercial law and contract management. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice, draft and review contracts, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective communication of legal issues across departments.
• Manage documentation and organizational records related to legal matters.
• Assist in mergers and acquisitions from a legal standpoint.
• Review and amend existing contracts and policies for compliance updates.
• Provide insights into legal trends that may affect the company's operations.
• Engage in risk management strategies to protect the organization’s interests.
• Support community engagement and pro bono initiatives as part of the firm’s corporate responsibility.
• Seek opportunities for process improvement within the legal framework of the firm.

Requirements

Education

• LLB degree (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university
• Admitted Attorney in South Africa is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a legal counsel or similar role
