We are on the hunt for a passionate Public Health Specialist to join our team in Durban. This role will involve developing and implementing health programs designed to enhance community wellbeing. A strong understanding of public health principles and experience in community outreach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health education campaigns targeting specific community health concerns.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to implement health strategies.
• Investigate community health needs through qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Provide training to community health workers and stakeholders.
• Utilize health data to inform program planning and decision-making.
• Advocate for policies that positively impact community health.
• Cultivate relationships with community leaders and organizations.
• Prepare and present educational sessions for community populations.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Prepare grant applications for funding opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Social Sciences
• Master's degree in Public Health is highly desirable

Experience

• 3-5 years of working experience in a community health setting
