Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in Durban. This role requires leadership skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of construction processes to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions and develop comprehensive project plans.
• Resolve issues and conflicts that arise on-site during construction.
• Ensure environmental sustainability practices are followed on-site.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement effective strategies to improve work processes and team performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in a similar role

• Budget Management
• Safety Regulations

• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Registered Construction Manager (RCM)
• First Aid Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Renovation Projects: Proven experience in managing renovation and refurbishment works.
• Knowledge of Local Government Regulations: Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
