Our Durban healthcare facility is looking for a skilled General Practitioner. You will engage in patient assessments, devise personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with medical staff. Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Work with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Implement effective treatment protocols.
• Keep updated on medical research and advancements.
• Facilitate follow-up appointments and patient reviews.
• Engage with community to promote health awareness.
• Report on clinic performance indicators.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or similar qualification accepted by HPCSA
• Additional certifications in primary care preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in a clinical setting as a GP or family doctor

Technical Skills

• Emergency care proficiency
• Diagnostic imaging knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Family Medicine Certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
