Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will perform a variety of surgical and medical procedures on animals, while providing exceptional care to our furry patients. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in veterinary medicine and be committed to improving the health and welfare of animals.

Responsibilities

  • Set treatment plans for patients according to their needs.
  • Perform imaging techniques, including X-rays and ultrasound.
  • Manage animal pain relief protocols.
  • Document all procedures and discussions with pet owners.
  • Conduct health inspections for pets before boarding.
  • Assist in training and development of new staff.
  • Participate in research initiatives when applicable.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinary surgeon
