Job Description

As a Farm Mortgage Agent, you will connect farmers with financial institutions to secure funding for their agricultural projects. You will play a crucial role in educating clients about financing options and guiding them through the application process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and conduct credit assessments.
• Provide customized mortgage solutions for farmers and rural property owners.
• Assist clients in completing loan applications and guide them through the loan process.
• Monitor loan performance and ensure timely repayments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance or related field

Experience

• Proven track record of successfully securing financing for farmers

Technical Skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Sound knowledge of the agricultural industry

Advantageous

• Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly Afrikaans and/or Xhosa: Bilingual capabilities to improve client communication and engagement.
