Building Inspector

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Building Inspector to oversee compliance with building regulations and standards. You will play an essential role in safeguarding public safety and ensuring high-quality construction processes throughout the lifecycle of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on site and prepare findings and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure that buildings are constructed in accordance with established local and national codes.
• Investigate complaints regarding code violations and recommend corrective measures.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure continuous compliance.
• Consult with engineers and architects to assess the merits of proposed changes.
• Advise on health and safety matters to support safe construction environments.
• Conduct educational sessions on building codes for staff and clients.
• Promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulations.
• Assist in developing compliance manuals and training resources.
• Act as a liaison between the organization, construction personnel, and governing bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Licenses and certification in building inspection preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive experience in building inspection or related fields
