Job Description

As a Social Worker with Community Support Services, you will play a vital role in our team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in the Durban area. Your focus will be on providing support, advocacy, and resources to those in need. Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to social justice, working closely with community partners to develop programs that benefit the local population.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client situations to develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Facilitate support groups and community workshops.
  • Work with families to strengthen relationships and improve well-being.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust service plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
  • Stay informed on social services legislation and initiatives.
  • Provide education on social issues affecting clients.
  • Support program development and community outreach efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in community services
