Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Legal Advisor in Johannesburg to enhance our legal team. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of corporate law and a proven track record in negotiating legal agreements and managing compliance. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on various issues impacting the business.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research to support business initiatives.
• Assist in risk management strategies and implementing policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to address legal matters.
• Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the organization.
• Provide training on legal compliance to staff.

Requirements

Education

• LLB Degree or equivalent qualification
• Admittance to the bar is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a legal advisory role
