Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Polymer Chemist to join our vibrant team in Richards Bay. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing innovative polymer formulations and improving production processes, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead polymer development projects from conception to production.
• Conduct market research to identify new polymer applications.
• Provide technical support to production teams.
• Develop and implement testing protocols for quality assurance.
• Mentor interns and new hires in polymer lab techniques.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers of raw materials.
• Ensure all lab processes align with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare presentations on research findings for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in polymer synthesis and characterization
