Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychologist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of therapeutic techniques and a commitment to promoting mental wellness. In this role, you will work with diverse clients, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess mental health needs of clients through structured interviews.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective treatment.
• Guide clients through therapeutic processes and coping strategies.
• Maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress.
• Facilitate referrals to additional resources as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Master's in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology
• Current HPCSA registration as a psychologist

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Supervision experience: Experience in supervising interns or other junior staff.
