We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in providing support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including mental health issues, domestic violence, and substance abuse. You will play a crucial role in connecting clients with essential resources and advocating for their needs within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in client interactions.
• Identify and connect clients with additional resources and services.
• Educate clients about their rights and available support systems.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a social services environment

Technical Skills

• Trauma-informed Care
• Program Development

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to converse fluently in Zulu or Xhosa is a plus.
• Knowledge of local government policies: Understanding of social services policies at the local government level.
