Aircraft Service Attendant

Job Description

As an Aircraft Service Attendant, your primary role will involve assisting with the movement of baggage, cargo, and mail to and from aircraft. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all operational procedures are followed to guarantee safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload baggage and cargo safely and efficiently.
• Handle ground support equipment responsibly and effectively.
• Complete routine safety checks of ground equipment and report discrepancies.
• Ensure that all operational procedures are followed during aircraft handling.
• Collaborate with the ground team to maintain a high level of service.
• Help maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Participate in regular training sessions on safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Experience

• Experience in aviation or warehouse operations is an advantage, but not required.

Certifications

• Airside driving permit (or ability to obtain one)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to speak additional languages: Bilingual or multilingual candidates are preferred.
• Experience operating ground service equipment: Prior experience with tugs, loaders, or similar equipment is advantageous.
