Custodial Laborer

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial Laborer to maintain cleanliness and orderliness at our premises. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Assist in training new custodial staff as needed.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and waste.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding cleaning schedules.
• Utilize cleaning equipment and tools properly to maintain efficiency.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss feedback and improvements.
• Adapt to changing cleaning priorities and schedules.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years in a custodial role or similar position.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment: Familiarity with cleaning machinery and equipment for effective cleaning.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing or electrical systems: Understanding of basic maintenance tasks related to plumbing or electrical issues.
