Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Legal Advisor to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel, ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate governance. You will engage in contract drafting, negotiation, and offer strategic legal advice to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advise on acquisitions, mergers, and other corporate transactions.
• Review and draft employee contracts and agreements.
• Provide input on company policies to ensure legal compliance.
• Monitor legal developments and assess their impact on the organization.
• Develop risk management strategies and policies.
• Support senior management with legal implications of business strategies.
• Conduct training sessions on legal compliance for staff.
• Create and maintain a repository of legal documents and precedents.
• Actively participate in strategic planning meetings.
• Foster strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Law (LLM) is advantageous
• Specialization in corporate law is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role within a corporate environment
