Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Gastroenterologist to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, providing exceptional patient care through both clinical and procedural management.

Responsibilities

• Examine and assess patients presenting with gastrointestinal complaints.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques for diagnostics.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams for any required surgical interventions.
• Provide nutritional counseling and lifestyle modification advice.
• Engage in community outreach and public awareness programs.
• Maintain high standards of professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Encourage patient feedback to improve service delivery.
• Contribute to educational sessions for medical trainees.
• Adhere to legislative and ethical guidelines within medical practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent degree
• Additional training in advanced gastroenterology procedures is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years in a reputable gastroenterology clinic or hospital

• Diagnostic imaging interpretation

Certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent
