Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Public Health Officer to contribute to our public health programs in Johannesburg. This role involves collaboration with community stakeholders, implementation of health promotion strategies, and analysis of health data to identify trends and inform practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement local public health initiatives.
  • Conduct research on public health issues and trends.
  • Work closely with community stakeholders to develop health improvement strategies.
  • Support the coordination of vaccination and disease prevention programs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for community and state meetings.
  • Provide guidance on health regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field
  • Master's Degree in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in public health or a related field
