Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Public Health Officer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing health programs, conducting community assessments, and collaborating with healthcare providers to promote wellness and prevent diseases.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health initiatives aimed at reducing health disparities.
• Provide consultation to schools and community organizations on health matters.
• Monitor and report on the status of public health programs.
• Develop partnerships with stakeholders for resource mobilization.
• Conduct training for healthcare staff on public health issues and strategies.
• Engage with community leaders to promote health education.
• Oversee the implementation of health guidelines and regulations.
• Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of health intervention strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, or Social Sciences
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in public health initiatives
