Job Description

As a Corporate Finance Associate, you will be instrumental in supporting our clients with financial analysis and strategic investment decisions. We seek candidates with a strong background in finance, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will help prepare detailed reports and presentations that align financial recommendations with client goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough quantitative analyses and prepare investment proposals.
• Support the management team in financial strategy formulation.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders as necessary to gather financial information.
• Assist in tracking and optimizing financial performance metrics.
• Prepare financial forecasts and scenarios to support decision-making.
• Develop business cases for proposed projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance
• Master's degree in Finance is highly regarded

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance or related roles

Technical Skills

• Excel Proficiency
• Financial Reporting

Soft Skills

• Strategic Thinking
• Presentation Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is recommended
• Business Analytics Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Taxation: Understanding of South African taxation laws and regulations.
• Experience in Corporate Finance Transactions: Experience in mergers and acquisitions or capital financing deals.
