Job Description

As a Dentist with us, you will utilize your skills to deliver exceptional dental care, including restorative, preventative, and cosmetic procedures. You will work closely with our dental team to enhance patient experiences and outcomes, helping to build lasting relationships within the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop personalized dental treatment plans.
• Perform oral surgeries, extractions, and cosmetic procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
• Support and mentor junior dental staff.
• Engage with patients to understand their concerns and goals.
• Ensure the clinic meets health, safety, and accreditation standards.
• Perform emergency dental services as required.
• Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain dental license.
• Collaborate with specialists when necessary for comprehensive care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
• Postgraduate qualification in Prosthodontics is preferred.

Experience

• 3-5 years of general dentistry experience.

Technical Skills

• Root Canal Therapy
• Orthodontics

Soft Skills

• Patient Empathy
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Oral Surgery Certification
• Pediatric Dentistry Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Ability to speak multiple languages: Proficiency in Afrikaans or Xhosa is a plus.
• Experience in community outreach programs: Involvement in health awareness initiatives is highly regarded.
