Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Farm Manager in Port Elizabeth to oversee daily farm operations, manage staff, and implement agricultural best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crop management and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of crop production.
• Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers.
• Develop relationships with local agricultural agencies and stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends to inform planting and harvesting decisions.
• Implement irrigation and fertilization programs.
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and facilities.
• Ensure all operations align with company sustainability goals.
• Facilitate community outreach initiatives related to agriculture.
• Evaluate and adopt new agricultural technologies.
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Horticulture or Animal Science preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in farm management with a focus on crop production
