Civil Engineer

Job Description

We seek a Civil Engineer to lead various infrastructure projects in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met while maintaining a focus on innovation and quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of civil engineering tasks.
• Conduct research to inform project development.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
• Regularly report project status to senior management.
• Identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for drafting.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Implement project management best practices.
• Monitor project expenditures and manage budgets.
• Participate in community engagement for public works projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Basic
