Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our team in Durban. This role involves providing support and resources to individuals and families in need, facilitating access to services, and promoting social change. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to making a positive impact in the community while possessing strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to identify client needs.
• Collaborate with clients to develop action plans.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Educate clients about their rights and available supports.
• Coordinate services with other professionals as necessary.
• Document all client interactions and maintain records accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance practice skills.
• Assist in the development of community programs and initiatives.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and provide feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's degree in a related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in social services

• Case Management

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Experience in group facilitation: Ability to lead support groups and workshops for clients.
