Construction Manager

Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Construction Manager to lead our projects in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will manage construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with clients, architects, and subcontractors, oversee site safety, and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of projects, managing all phases of construction.
• Maintain communication with clients to keep them informed of progress.
• Implement best practices for quality assurance and safety management.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure design meets specifications.
• Control project costs and prepare regular financial reports.
• Train and oversee junior staff and site workers.
• Address project vulnerabilities and risks proactively.
• Implement sustainability initiatives and ensure environmentally responsible practices.
• Review and approve change orders and subcontractor invoices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Certifications in Project Management are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction management or site supervision
