Learning and Development Specialist

Job Description

We are in search of a proactive Learning and Development Specialist who can design, implement, and oversee quality training programs for our staff. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in adult learning theories and be passionate about driving employee engagement through effective training methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze employee training requirements.
• Create and administer evaluations to assess training effectiveness.
• Support digital learning initiatives through e-learning platforms.
• Create diversity and inclusion training programs.
• Assist with onboarding processes for new hires.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Build relationships with external training vendors.
• Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling sessions.
• Advise on potential career development opportunities for employees.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to facilitate personal development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a learning and development role

Technical Skills

• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Content Development

• Communication
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
• Training & Certification in Adult Learning

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with e-learning tools: Familiar with e-learning development tools such as Articulate or Captivate.
• Familiarity with performance management: Understanding performance management systems and their integration with learning programs.
