Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will oversee various projects, manage construction processes, and lead a team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

• Direct construction operations and allocate resources efficiently.
• Ensure that projects meet design, budget, and timeline expectations.
• Liaise with clients to convey project updates and resolve any issues.
• Monitor and manage overall project risk management.
• Engage in conflict resolution within the project teams to maintain productivity.
• Assess contractor performance and recommend new contractors as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry

Technical Skills

• Resource Management
• Technical Knowledge of Construction Processes

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• LEED Green Associate
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Environmental Sustainability Practices: Understanding of sustainable construction practices and regulations.
• Experience with LEED Projects: Hands-on experience with LEED certification projects in construction.
