Responsibilities
Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care ensuring medication safety.
Counsel patients regarding their medications and potential interactions.
Conduct medication therapy management for complex patient cases.
Participate in health and safety audits within the pharmacy.
Serve as a resource for healthcare teams on medication-related inquiries.
Educate patients and caregivers about proper medication use.
Assist with insurance claim processes concerning prescriptions.
Monitor prescription refills and patient adherence.
Engage in community health programs to promote wellness.
Document all patient interactions as required.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
Registration with South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting
