Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Contract Lawyer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will draft, review, and negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms of contracts with clients and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Evaluate and mitigate legal risks in contracts.
• Provide advice on contract modifications and extensions.
• Coordinate with external counsel as necessary.
• Document contract processes and maintain records.
• Assist in the development of company policies related to contract management.
• Handle contract disputes and legal consultations.
• Contribute to strategic planning related to contracts.
• Mentor junior legal staff regarding contract law.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent
• Master's degree in Law is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in corporate law or contract management

Certifications

• Certified Contract Manager (CCM)

Languages
